Spent a lot of time these past couple of days staring at “Cowboy TV” – its kinda wonderful – the “TV” is not trying to sell you anything or tell you anything stupid.
I had heard Steve Almond speak on a panel at the LA Times Book Festival, he was funny, intelligent and engaging. I have read one of his fiction works already and am currently reading one of his non-fiction, “Not that You Asked.” In this one part (and at the festival as well) there is a discussion of blogging. All of the authors on the panel that day (6 in total) none of them blog and they pretty much think that is not really a great practice because the blog = baby spit up. Unprocessed, not thought through and a knee jerk reaction.
So now as I read through this section regarding blogging in his book, I can’t help but start to feel a little guilty. Am I also just producing more unnecessary waste and putting it out into the world? Should I stop? Does anyone actually read this blog and does it matter that it exists?
